Day 10: The Gift of the Holy Spirit

PentecostWord of God: Acts 2:1-11

Reflection: The Holy Spirit, the Comforter, lives within us. The Giver of Life is always with us as our defender and our intercessor, inspiring us from within to live and act as true disciples, shining with the light of Christ and bursting with the love of God.

Jesus entrusts His disciples with a specific task: “to bring glad tidings to the poor…to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord” (Lk 4:18-19).

Meaning of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit: Am I aware that I am filled with the Holy Spirit? That I have been granted incredible gifts which I am to share with the world? That I have the unlimited potential to become a partaker of divine nature?

Prayer: Almighty, God, King of Glory, Jesus Christ, You who love the human race with Your whole heart, and in Your providential wisdom You continually care for each nation, look mercifully on Canada and Ukraine as well as other nations that they become holy nations and fulfill the mission entrusted to them by God. Amen.

Missionary Task: God has given us the task of opening human hearts to Him, proclaiming a new life in Christ in our homes, our social circles, and our entire world. He has more then equipped us for the job by sending us His Holy Spirit… Your move.
